Boyd Excell Excels at FEI World Cup Driving: Stockholm (Swe) 1-2 December 2007

How good is Boyd Excell.  He is fast becoming an Australian Equestrian superstar.  He won the 3rd leg of the World Cup Driving Championships at the Globen Arena, Stockholm on the weekend in front of 10,000 eager spectators.  Dutch driver Koos de Ronde, who drove his first World Cup competition of this season, came second, ahead of Jozsef Dobrovitz from Hungary.

“The course in Stockholm was one of the best courses I have seen. Course designer Dan Henriksson built a course which tested the skills of the drivers without difficult angles so it was very good for the crowd to watch.” commented Boyd.

However, the event almost turned into a disaster for Boyd and his entourage when thieves broke into his horse lorry and stole passports for both horses and his family, and also damaged his truck.

Lets continue to get behind Boyd and hope he can continue his success, and who knows, we may have a new World Cup Champion in our midst.
